Elmer, NJ Wedding | Amber + Chris

Now I have to be honest. This was a wedding that I was really looking forward to this year. Why? Because Amber and Chris are not only two amazing people, but friends. Chris and I have known each other for a little over 7 years through Jiu Jitsu. During that time he’s always been great friend and even a mentor with his wealth of knowledge and postive outlook on life.

Now one story I want to share is about the day I “met” Amber. Chris had just finished writing a book and came to my studio to work on the cover. If you didn’t already know Chris has written quite a few books. You can find some of them HERE. Anyway, on this day he walked in, gave me a big hug, and had this huge smile on his face. If you know Chris this is nothing unusual. He always has a big smile, but this one was a little different. Brighter in some way. Shortly into our work Chris looks up at me and says “Bro. I’m so happy. I met someone!” And just like that, I heard about this new girl Amber and knew she was the one for Chris. I’m happy to say after getting to know Amber I see that he makes her smile the same way.

Amber and Chris celebrated their wedding at the Macklin family home. A place Amber grew up around, and a place that holds many fond memories. Amber and Chris couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate their day. I knew this was going to be a day with lots of love, hugs, and celebration, with a few intellectual quotes along the way. I’m happy to say it did not disappoint.

A huge congratulations to Amber and Chris on their marriage. And thank you for letting me play such an important role in it. For a friend, who is also a wedding photographer, there really is no bigger compliment.
